| Like many captains, I grew up in the Walleye capital of the world and was a recreational angler before I became a captain. I learned the lake and the movement of the fish at a young age. As a captain, my job is not just to put you on the fish, but to find the fish that are biting. Erie is a big lake and finding the right area to fish is a process that starts before and continues during the charter. The area with the best bite changes and I’m fortunate to work with other great captains who share information on fishing conditions. Working together allows us to spread out and fish a larger area. We can narrow the depth, the count, lure type, and color, to increase our catch. I’m thankful that I can share my love of fishing with others who enjoy it as much as I do.
